In a significant announcement, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal introduced plans designed to optimize the use of free trade agreements (FTAs). These initiatives focus on expanding the global footprint of 'Made in India' products, aiming to bolster support for exporters. By teaming up with state governments, the initiatives will strive to tap into each state's unique export capabilities.

New Delhi: The commerce ministry is organising a series of free trade agreement (FTA) outreach initiatives across the country to ensure greater utilisation of these pacts, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said on Wednesday.

The Commerce and Industry Minister said that the multiple FTAs concluded in recent years have opened up immense opportunities for our exporters.

"The Modi government's focus is on ensuring these benefits reach our farmers, workers, women, youth, MSMEs and small businesses, enabling them to take more 'Made in India' products to global markets," he said in a social media post.
